How can we participate?
The objective of this project is to study the phenomenon of microplastics and disseminate its results to the entire society, providing key information to size the problem and contribute to finding solutions. To achieve this, we need supportive people, lovers of nature, who want to help us conserve it.
If you are interested in participating in these coastal microplastic studies, contact us! We need volunteers committed to conservation from across the country.
We focus on collecting information on plastic fragments measuring between 1 mm and 25 mm. For this, we use a simple scientific sampling protocol, which you can do with friends, colleagues or family.
In order to compare the data with that of other parts of the world, we joined the non-profit organization Just One Ocean, through its project “The Big Microplastic Survey”. Thus, by applying the same protocol, we not only generate data about what is happening in Argentina, but you also contribute to a global vision of the problem.
